I'm Joe Rohde. My wife Sarah and I run Lamplighter Web Design out of Monument, Colorado, but Nampa is where we used to live before we moved out here. We know Canyon County. American Piston Works, and it is a good one to judge us by because it is a technical business selling to people who know exactly what they are looking at.
That is harder to build for than it sounds. The site has to be credible to someone who understands the product better than the person who wrote the page, and it has to load on a phone in a workshop.
Almost always because their website is set up properly and yours is not, rather than because of where they are.
Google does weigh distance, and for a Nampa search you are the close one. That advantage gets thrown away by a slow site, a missing or wrong Google listing, or a page that never actually says which town you are in.
Those are all fixable, and they are usually the whole gap.
